Taylor, Kanye, Beyonce, Double Take

First, Taylor Swift won Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me."

Then Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech with:

Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.

Tayor didn't finish her speech.

West was asked to leave the show, and later posted this on his blog:

Then, later in the show Beyonce won for Best video for "Single Ladies." During her acceptance speech she asked Taylor to return to the stage and have her moment.

Taylor Swift and Beyonce both have more class in their little fingers (with or without a ring on it) than Kanye West could ever hope to have.

This video might get taken down, but here is Beyonce with Single Ladies.

If it won't play, you can watch it on her YouTube channel.

Or, watch this parody by Double Take.

After last night, I don't think I will EVER watch another MTV awards show again. What a sad state our society is in when we call people like Kanya West and Lady (or is it MAN) Gaga "artists". Add to that the Russell Brand sexually explicit commentary that had to constantly be bleeped.

Kanye made a fool of himself by with his antics and why anyone would EVER purchase another one of his CD's is beyond me. Then you have SUPER FREAK Lady Gaga who, after winning an award, thanked "God and the Gays"....can you even do that?

I know you are gay Joe. YOu say it loud and proud. And this Lady (or MAN) Gaga is considered a leader in the gay movement. Not too sure you want to be PROUD of that.

We better turn this ship around soon. Oh, and how about the overwhelming response from the audience when Brand made the comment that Obama was now president.

What an eye opening experience this turned out to be.

I agree with you Bill. It was embarrassing to watch. I know that some bimbo is gonna get on here and tell us that all we have to do is turn the channel, and I agree. But it is scary when you look at how far our entertainment industry has come.

How about Brand saying the evening was about love for everybody in honor of Michael Jackson. The evening was in honor of a guy who overdosed on drugs, reconstructed his face, changed the color of his skin and played (allegedly) with little boys.

What's next?
