Comedy among the pols

On my Examiner.com site I've posted an open letter explaining Why marching in Washington is important. Please feel free to forward the link or the letter to those you know.

Who knew that Congressman Barney Frank was such a comedian. He appeared on Jay Leno's 10 @ 10 last night. Rush Limbaugh deserved this.

And President Barack Obama showed his lighter side as well, on Letterman. (Sorry about the ads)

OK, I agree, the president was black before the election (and still is), but remember, 30 or 40 percent of people didn't vote for him, and it's from those people that the vocal racists are emerging.

My column in tomorrow's Western Tribune gives three reasons we need to support the public option in health care. Here's a clue, one of them has to do with Jesus.

Barney Frank skinny dipping with another man....and he is one of our congressmen. And we wonder why our country is going to hell in a hand basket.

From gallup.com (today and yesterday)

"The most recent weekly data show that Gallup's Consumer Confidence Index remains at its high for the year, its Job Creation Index is up slightly, and even a consumer spending uptick.

also:

Gallup, Obama: 72% believe he's willing to make hard decisions, 66% believe he's a strong and decisive leader, 64% believe he understands the problems Americans face every day, 64% believe he can get things done...

also:

53% approve of Obama, 39% disapporve

Oh, but for you haters, those are all bad signs, I guess.

That's interesting. This poll was reported just 22 days ago.

Scott Rasmussen, whose poll measures likely voters and is an especially good indicator of public attitudes, now has Obama’s job approval dropping to 46%. Zogby, the other good poll, has him at 45%. These surveys suggest that healthcare reform and the continuing bad economy are driving Obama down at a record clip.

Joe, I just think Obama is a great man. He makes me want to shake his hand every time I hear him speak. I hope all the doubters out there come around to see how he's trying to make this a good place, and do things for the people. Bush beat us up so bad it wil take awhile. If any of them are for Bush then they are for bad things, like the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Who's poll are you talking about. The gallup polls are current. Your numbers are not.

Most recent Zogby, 49% approval from their web site

Today Rasmussen has him at 49% approve.

Others WSJ - 51, FOX - 54, PEW - 55, CNN - 58

Better get right with God! The anti-christ is here! His name is Barak Hussien Obama!

I would agree with you Anonymous, except in the beginning everyone is going to LIKE the anti-Christ. Obama won't even last a full term as president - If we are all lucky. I don't want anything bad to happen to the man. I wish nothing but good things for he and his beautiful family. But just as we suspected during the election, a "community organizer" has NO BUSINESS In the oval office. He proves it more and more every day.
